Welcome to Practiise! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Practiise (“the Platform”), operated by Practiise Technologies Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Practiise, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Purpose of the Platform
Practiise is an educational platform designed to make studying engaging by turning course materials into gamified, interactive practice experiences. Practiise is provided primarily to tertiary institutions, their instructors, and enrolled students.
2. Eligibility
You must be:
- A registered student, instructor, or authorized staff member of a participating institution, or
- Invited by an institution or instructor to access the Platform.
By using Practiise, you confirm that you have the legal right to do so under your institution’s policies.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- Do not share your account details with others.
- Practiise may use anonymized login IDs provided by your institution to protect your privacy.
If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, notify us immediately at info@practiise.com.
4. Content Ownership
- All course materials uploaded to Practiise remain the intellectual property of the respective instructors or institutions.
- Practiise does not claim ownership of any academic content uploaded to the platform.
- Content generated by Practiise’s AI system is intended solely for educational purposes and is subject to review and approval by course instructors.
5. Use of Data
- Practiise collects limited, anonymized data to improve the learning experience.
- Personal data (such as names or institutional IDs) will not be displayed publicly.
- Aggregated insights may be shared with participating instructors or institutions to help track engagement and learning outcomes.
Practiise complies with applicable data privacy regulations, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and relevant international data protection laws.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload or share materials you do not have rights to.
- Use the Platform to cheat, misrepresent academic work, or harass others.
- Interfere with Practiise’s functionality or security.
- Attempt to copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the system.
Violation of these terms may result in temporary suspension or permanent removal of your account.
7. Institutional Hosting and Third-Party Services
Some institutions may host their own version of Practiise. In such cases:
- The institution is responsible for managing access, permissions, and compliance with its academic policies.
- Practiise may integrate with approved third-party services (such as AI APIs or learning management systems) to enhance functionality. These services follow strict data governance settings to ensure no course material is stored or reused externally.
8. Platform Availability
We strive to ensure Practiise runs smoothly. However:
- We may suspend or limit access temporarily for maintenance or updates.
- Practiise is not liable for losses due to downtime, technical errors, or interrupted access.
9. Disclaimer
Practiise is an educational support tool, not a replacement for formal instruction. While we aim to enhance learning outcomes, we cannot guarantee improved academic performance in all cases.
10. Limitation of Liability
Practiise Technologies Limited, its founders, employees, or affiliates shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Platform.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date revised. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
